Fairfax, Va. - George Mason men's volleyball has signed two new players from Illinois, David Hill and Aidan Weltin.
Hill is a 6-9 middle hitter for Buffalo Grove High School in Arlington, Illinois. An all-around athlete, he also played basketball for the Bison.
Last season, Hill accumulated a kill percentage of 34.8%, and throughout his high school career he earned All-Conference team honors. Hill selected George Mason for its strong program and great academic reputation.
Weltin will be the opposite/outside hitter for the Patriots. The 6' 7'' Lombard, Ill. native, has a standing reach of 106 inches. The future Patriot has a decorated high school career earning 2023 Illinois Second Team All-State and the Upstate Eight All-Conference award.
"I chose George Mason because it was the perfect blend of strong academics, athletics, location, and having access to all the resources of the DC area," said Weltin.
David Hill and Aidan Weltin join Alex Lillie as part of the 2024 recruiting class.
