Fairfax, Va.— George Mason Athletics and multimedia rights partner, Playfly Sports -- George Mason Sports Properties, announced today that Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) will broadcast seven Patriots basketball home games during the 2023-24 season.
Additionally, The George Mason Basketball Coaches Show with Tony Skinn will air on the regional sports network during the course of the year. The first episode is scheduled to air Thursday, November 2 at 8 p.m.
The George Mason Basketball Coaches Show with Tony Skinn is hosted and sponsored by Capital Ale House in Fairfax. The restaurant will be the spot for eight shows throughout the 2023-24 season.
Returning for its 18th consecutive season with the Patriots, MASN will feature two Mason women's games for the first time, beginning with the alumni game against in-state rival VCU on Sunday, Jan. 28 at 3 p.m. A tilt against the newly named George Washington Revolutionaries will be broadcast on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 3 p.m.
The MASN slate will begin with the men's non-conference basketball game against Austin Peay during the first week of college basketball action, on Friday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.
The Patriots will produce four Atlantic 10 conference men's basketball games for broadcast on MASN, beginning with an early conference game against the VCU Rams on Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m.
The regional sports network will air the Mason Homecoming game against Rhode Island inside EagleBank Arena on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 4 p.m.
MASN will wrap up the broadcast slate with two games in February, the contest with George Washington on Tuesday, Feb. 13 as well as the Feb. 21 game against A-10 preseason favorite Dayton.
The Patriots will feature two broadcast teams for the men's basketball games on MASN with both featuring longtime Voice of the Patriots Bill Rohland. Color analyst Craig Esherick will be alongside Rohland for three games, while Washington Post columnist John Feinstein will be in the booth for two games.
The women's basketball broadcasts will feature broadcast veteran Steve Kolbe as the voice, paired alongside color analyst Tykera Carter, former collegiate women's basketball player and the WNBA's associate manager of digital and social content.
Patriots' home contests and all conference games that are not aired nationally will be carried on ESPN+, the first multi-sport, direct-to-consumer subscription streaming service from The Walt Disney Company Direct-to-Consumer & International division in partnership with ESPN.
