FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's basketball team and coaching staff have announced the signing of LeAire Nicks in the 2024 graduating class.
A 6'2 center out of Wylie, Texas, she will graduate from Wylie East High School this coming spring.
In three years of varsity play at Wylie East, Nicks has averaged 9.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.6 steals, 1.3 assists and 1.1 blocks per game. As a junior, she set career-highs in points per game (14.1) and rebounds per game (7.9) as well all other statistical categories. The center has tallied 936 points in her high school career with her sights set on the 1,000-point mark this season.
Outside of Wylie East, Nicks is a member of the Nike EYBL team, Lady Drive Nation.

Vanessa Blair-Lewis. "LeAire is a three-level scorer on offense and a versatile defender with shot blocking ability.
"Her size, athleticism and natural instinct for the game allows us to believe that she could be an immediate impact in our lineup!"
