WASHINGTON, D.C. – The George Mason men's soccer team fell to George Washington, 3-1, in the final match of the season on Saturday afternoon at GW Soccer Field in Washington, D.C.

Henry Wachsman scored his third goal of the season in the 29th minute. Sophomore midfielder
Asparuh Slavov and junior forward
Souley Diouf notched the assists on the Patriots lone goal of the day.

All four goals between Mason (5-7-3, 2-5-1 A-10) and George Washington (4-9-4, 2-5-1 A-10) were scored in the first 29 minutes of the match.

The Revolutionaries scored three goals in a span of five minutes early in the first half to take control.

In the 14th minute, graduate student midfielder William Turner tallied his fourth goal of the season to put George Washington in front, 1-0.

In the 17th minute, senior midfielder Tim Newman netted his first goal of the season to extend the lead to 2-0. Freshman forward George Vincent picked up the assist of the goal.

A minute later, Vincent scored his first goal of the season to make it 3-0. Newman picked up the assist on the goal.

Wachsman's goal in the 29th minute was his career-high third of the season.

Jaume Salvado (5-7-3, 2-5-1 A-10) made three saves in the match. He started all 15 matches for the Patriots this season.Â
