FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's volleyball team is set to host rival George Washington on Wednesday night, wrapping up its' five-game home stand.
Earlier this month, the longtime rivals battled through extra points and five sets, as George Washington ultimately took the match 3-2 in Washington, D.C. All-time, GW has a 22-8 lead in the series, but the teams have split the last eight matches, 4-4.
Both teams are coming off of two home losses this past weekend, with the Revolutionaries falling to Fordham 3-2, 3-0 while the Patriots were downed by Loyola Chicago 3-0, 3-1. Both teams own wins over Atlantic 10 opponent Rhode Island and GW also has a win over Duquesne.

- Camille Larkin ranks second in the conference in hitting percentage with a .373 clip. The junior has tallied 135 kills on the season, good for fifth on the team
- Ewelina Gacek eclipsed the 200-kill mark over the weekend for the first time in her career and besting her personal-high of 177 for the season in 2021. Gacek's 11-kill performance on Saturday marked her 11th double-figure tally of the season
- Gracie Halley ranks sixth in the conference in digs per set with 3.92. Her 20 digs on Saturday marked the fourth time this season that the libero tallied 20+ in a match
- Pacing the offense is Gabriella Gelfound, who leads the team with 361 assists after 37 total over the weekend and her ninth 20+-assist performance of the year. The sophomore recorded 12 kills and 21 assists on Saturday against Davidson, marking her ninth double-double of the year
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Since their first meeting, the Revolutionaries have gone 1-5 after splitting two matches with Duquesne and losing twice to Loyola Chicago and Fordham. Overall in conference play, George Washington is 4-7 with home opening wins over Rhode Island.
Pacing the Revolutionaries' offense is Maeve Loughran, who ranks first on the team and fifth in the conference with 6.34 assists per game. She is also one of six players in the Atlantic 10 with over 500 assists on the season. Leading the attack is Liv Womble, who has tallied a team-best 237 kills and 2.89 per set.
On defense, Kelsey Watkins leads the team with 1.02 blocks per set (7
th, A-10) for a total of 67. Her 21 solo blocks rank first among Atlantic 10 players. Amina Robinson is alos ranked in the top-10 of the Atlantic 10 conference for digs per set with 3.16 per set. Her 256 lead the Revolutionaries and is a career-best.
