Luis Maestre was selected Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week and freshman midfielder
James Eliuda was named Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

Maestre, from Elche, Spain, recorded three goals and two assists in two games last week for the Patriots to increase his points streak to five games (4G, 4A). He's tied for first in the Atlantic 10 in assists (9) and is tied for third in the league in points (17).

Maestre scored two goals (14th and 37th minute), including the eventual game-winner and added two assists in Mason's 7-0 victory at Radford on Tuesday, Oct. 17 in Radford, Va. Â He finished the match with three shots and two shots on goal in 61 minutes of action. Â

Maestre netted Mason's goal in a 2-1 loss against VCU on Saturday, Oct. 21 in the Patriots final home match of the regular season. Â He registered three shots and one shot on goal in 90 minutes of action.

Eliuda, from Juba, South Sudan, scored his first collegiate goal in the 24th minute and played 61 minutes in Mason's 7-0 victory at Radford. On Saturday against VCU in a 2-1 loss, the midfielder took three shots with one shot on goal and played all 90 minutes of the match.
