HAMPTON, Va. –  The George Mason men's and women's swimming and diving teams wrapped up competition at the Richmond Duals on Saturday at the Hampton Aquaplex in Hampton, Va.

The men's team won its two-day dual against Davidson, 214-190. The women's team fell to Richmond, 177-122.

On the women's side, the Patriots won six events against the Spiders.
Â
Junior
Ali Tyler won the 50-yard freestyle (23.93) with sophomore
Peyton Brehmer third (24.42) and junior
Shannon Judge fourth (24.48).
Â
Tyler also touched the wall first in the 100-yard freestyle (53.06) with junior
Emma DeJong fourth (53.92).
Â
DeJong swam to a first-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.48) while sophomore
Ally Yeary placed fourth (1:09.48).

In the 200-yard breaststroke, freshman
Kristen Ivey touched the wall first (2:29.21). Ivey placed fourth in the 400-yard IM (4:43.27) and freshman
Casey Tingen was fifth (4:44.29).

Senior
Abigail Murtaugh won the 200-yard butterfly (2:06.78) with junior
Emma Burke fourth (2:12.34). Murtaugh also took the top spot in the 100-yard butterfly (57.79) with Brehmer right behind in second (58.56).

Freshman
Sarah Dichak took second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:56.85) and sophomore
Angelina Zeidan placed fourth (1:58.35).

Junior
Anka Whelan finished second in the 100-yard backstroke (59.07) with Tingen fifth in the event (1:00.51). Whelan also placed second in the 200-yard backstroke (2:05.39) with freshman
Clare Smith fourth (2:07.84).

In the 500-yard freestyle, Dichak was fourth (5:20.10) and sophomore
Ainsley Toews fifth (5:25.40).

In the 1650-yard relay, junior
Kylie Thompson placed third (19:06.18) and classmate
Sydney Branch was fourth (19:16.04).

The Patriots won the 400-yard medley relay (3:53.46) and placed second in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:36.12).
In the diving events, junior
Emma McDonald placed second in the one-meter (197.45 points) and fourth in the three-meter (190.85).
The men's team won eight events on day two against Davidson.
Freshman
Ian Rodgers took the top spot in the 50-yard backstroke (23.59) with sophomore
Jett Lee third (24.08). Rodgers also won the 50-yard butterfly (22.77) with sophomore
Joshua Hochard fourth in the event (23.59).
Sophomore
Tate Anderson touched the wall first in the 100-yard butterfly (50.11), while freshman
Colin Murtaugh finished fourth (51.89). Anderson swam to a first place finish in the 100-yard backstroke (50.82).
The Patriots went one-two in the 100-yard breaststroke, with junior
Zane Roberts first (58.39) and junior
Tyler Lentine second (58.50). Lentine won the 50-yard breaststroke (26.70) with sophomore
Jack Chapman third (27.82) and freshman
Jack Graham fifth (28.37).
In the 400-yard IM, freshman
Alex Crown took first place (4:06.27) and sophomore
Sam Rivas was third (4:16.46). Crown placed second in the 500-yard freestyle (4:37.56) with freshman
Cody Scifres in third (4:44.65).
The team of Anderson, Lentine, Rodgers and Roberts won the 400-yard medley relay (3:23.21). The combination of senior
Logan Skiles, freshman
Colby Lane, Hochard and Roberts placed second in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:23.76).
In the one-meter diving event, freshman
Christian Anderson placed third (216.00 points).

The Patriots are back in action when they host La Salle and Duquesne Oct. 27-28 at the Aquatic and Fitness Center in Fairfax, Va.
