FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason University men's basketball team (11-7, 3-2) hosts George Washington (8-9, 2-2) Monday afternoon as part of an MLK Day CBS Sports Network tripleheader.
Tip-off between the Patriots and Colonials is set for 4 p.m. Monday's game will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network and feature commentary from Chick Hernandez (play-by-play), Tarik Turner (analyst) and AJ Ross (sideline). In addition, Bill Rohland will handle play-by-play duties on the GoMason Digital Network, with pregame coverage beginning at 3:45 p.m. (ET).
PATRIOT POINTS
• The Patriots are 9-3 over their past 12 games. Most recently, Mason grinded out a 67-65 victory over Davidson Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats led 65-64 with 25 seconds left, but Mason got a key stop and converted 3-of-4 free throws late to pick up the win.

Josh Oduro led the Patriots with team highs in points (22, 8-12 FG), rebounds (9) and assists (5). He is averaging 24.0 points, 12.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists over Mason's past two games.
• Oduro paces the A-10 and ranks 27th nationally with seven double-doubles this season. He has tallied a double-double in four of the past six games. Oduro leads the A-10 with 10.6 rebounds/contest in league play and is fifth in scoring (17.8 ppg).
• Junior
Malik Henry notched 12 points and six rebounds vs. Davidson. He has thrived in Mason's two-big lineup since
Davonte Gaines went down with a hand injury on Dec. 31. Henry has scored 12+ points in two of the past three games.
• Oduro also has thrived in that two-big lineup and dominated the offensive glass. He's averaging 6.3 offensive rebounds/game over the past three contests. He leads the league in offensive boards/contest in A-10 play (4.40).
• Oduro needs two more rebounds to become just the fourth player in school history with 1,000 career points, 600 rebounds, 100 blocks and 100 assists.
• Amongst players nationally 6-foot-9 and above, Oduro ranks seventh in assists (53).

Victor Bailey Jr. is shooting a sizzling 57.1 percent (28-49) from 3pt range over the past nine games.
• George Mason has held its opponent to 30 percent or less from 3pt range in 13 of 18 games this season. The Green & Gold rank 31st nationally in 3pt FG defense (.296).
• The Patriots are 10-0 at home this season and 20-4 inside EagleBank Arena under head coach
Kim English. The 10-0 home start is Mason's best since its perfect 14-0 mark in 2010-11.

HISTORY vs. GEORGE WASHINGTON
Monday's game marks the 32nd all-time meeting in the Revolutionary Rivalry. George Mason and George Washington are separated by just 20 miles and are situated on the same DC Metro line (Orange). Mason has won seven of the past 10 matchups between the schools. Overall, GW holds a 22-9 advantage in the series and is 12-7 in A-10 games against the Patriots. Mason is 6-5 against the Colonials in Fairfax.
Last season, the two teams split a pair of meetings. GW won 77-76 in the 2022 edition of the MLK Day Game on Jan. 17. Then, the Patriots claimed a 69-62 triumph in Fairfax on Feb. 27.
Josh Oduro, who missed the January game due to injury, poured in 27 points, 14 rebounds and four assists in the home win.
A LOOK AT THE COLONIALS (8-9, 2-2 A-10; NET #205, KenPom #195)
George Washington was picked to finish 12th in the 2022-23 Atlantic 10 preseason poll. GW went 6-7 in the non-conference and is 2-2 to begin A-10 play. That includes a road win over Loyola Chicago (97-87) and home triumph over UMass (81-73). The Colonials score 1.076 points/possession (95th nationally) but also give up 1.094 points/possession (295th). GW is fourth nationally in 2pt FG percentage (.591). James Bishop leads the A-10 and ranks fifth nationally in scoring (21.8 ppg). He also is second in the league and 30th in the country in assists/contest (5.1). Brendan Adams adds 16.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists/contest, while Maximus Edwards is at 10.2 points and 5.7 rebounds/game. Ricky Lindo chips in 9.7 points/game and is eighth in the league with 7.1 rebounds/contest.
