FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason's men's volleyball team fell short against #9 Grand Canyon in three sets (20-25, 18-25, 16-25) at the RAC.
The RAC was loud for the first game of the season and it showed in the first set. Mason kept it within a few points all the way up till the end 20-25. Unfortunately, Mason had 12 service errors during the game and five of those came in the first set.
As the game continued, the Patriots were just unable to keep up. In the third set, the Antelopes tallied five blocks, two of them being solo. Although not the result Patriots fans were hoping for, freshmen
Georgi Zahariev displayed his talent by leading the team in assists with 21.
