FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's soccer team lost to Dayton in their A-10 Conference home opener by the score of 4-0. With tonight's Dayton victory, the Flyers extend their winning streak to six games and have recorded their fourth consecutive shutout.
The Patriots and Flyers were knotted up for the majority of the first half. Flyer midfielder Mia Perri broke the tie in the 36
th minute with a strike from more than 20 yards out aimed for the upper right corner of the goal, flying just past the reach of goalkeeper
Selamawit Caldart. Dayton scored two more goals in quick succession before the end of the first half. They would add on one more goal in the middle of the second half.
