Radford, Va. – The George Mason women's soccer team battled Radford to a 1-1 draw tonight on the road at Cupp Stadium..
The Patriots and Highlanders played tenacious defense in the first half, each allowing only three shots, but the Patriots took a one goal lead into the half. Radford would outshoot the Patriots 18-6 in the second half, including the final eight shots, but Mason only allowed the one goal in the match.

Sarah DeWitt got the Patriots on the board with a goal at the 32' minute in the first half, assisted by
Shea Carroll. DeWitt had two of the Patriots four shots on goal.
Radford opened the second half with an offensive spurt, recording nine of the first 10 shots. Helena Wilson leveled the score with a goal in the 61' minute. Mason would follow with a string of five consecutive shots in a span of five minutes, but goalkeeper Jordan Phillips would save two shots, one by DeWitt and the other by
Sydney Dacus.

Selamawit Caldart had six saves for the match, including four saves in the final 12 minutes to preserve the tie.
