The 2022-23 season proved to be another successful trip across the professional basketball globe for George Mason alumni. A total of 11 former Patriots put together pro campaigns spanning across three continents, including Europe, North America and Asia.

In season eight of his professional career,
Bryon Allen ('14) started and played a crucial role for Hapoel Eilat B.C. in Israel. Allen ranked second on the team with 15.7 points and 4.3 assists per contest while shooting 49.8 percent from the floor. He also averaged 16.3 points and shot 41.2 percent from 3pt range in six FIBA Europe Cup games. Playing alongside former Creighton star Justin Patton, Allen notched two 30+ point efforts during the season and registered at least 20 points in eight contests. The Largo, Md., native led Hapoel Eilat B.C. to 12 wins and a berth in the Winner League Second Stage.
Jaire Grayer ('19) wrapped up his first season with the NBA G League's Lakeland Magic. Grayer averaged 7.8 points in 22 minutes per contest while pulling down 5.1 rebounds and dishing out 1.5 assists per contest. Grayer plays alongside two former A-10 players, including BJ Johnson (La Salle) and Jeff Dowtin (Rhode Island). The Michigan product ended the season in strong fashion, including an 18-point effort in Lakeland's 129-91 victory over Cleveland on March 31. He previously played for his hometown Flint United in the TBL to begin his pro career.
Otis Livingston II ('19) continued his upward trajectory within the European Basketball ranks in his first season with Mladost ZE in the Serbian KLS. Livingston II ranked second on the team in scoring (18.6 ppg), providing a potent punch to the team's formidable offensive attack (92.4 ppg). Livingston II shot an impressive 56.6 percent from the floor, dished out a team-best 5.8 assists per contest and continued his collegiate prowess from the free throw line (.901). The Linden, N.J., product upped his average to 22.8 points/game in ABA play and shot 39.2 percent from 3pt range. He scored 25+ points in seven games, including back-to-back games of 29 and 31 points on May 16 and May 18 in the league semifinals. His 29-point performance also included an impressive nine rebounds and eight assists. Livingston II led Mladost ZE to a 19-11 record and a fourth-place regular season finish. After the season, Livingston II signed on to play with Crailsheim in the prestigious German BBL.
Darryl Monroe ('09) recently wrapped up his first season in the Korean Basketball League while suiting up for Anyang KGC. He helped lead the club to a solid 31-21 record while averaging a strong all-around 8.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists per contest. He shot 51.8 percent from the floor (143-276) and notched four efforts with 20 or more points. He scored in double figures in 19 contests. Anyang KGC advanced to the finals of the league championship.
Mike Morrison ('12) competed with one of the Portguese LPB's top teams. The former Mason rim runner averaged 8.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and shot 57.3 percent for FC Porto, which amassed a 23-5 record, placed second in the standings and earned a spot in the league finals. He tallied at least 10+ points in 17 games and four games with double-digit rebounding totals. Morrison finishes his 10
th professional season as part of an excellent career which has spanned Europe and Asia.
Marquise Moore ('17) starred for Phoenix Hagen in the German ProA League during his first season overseas. Moore ranked second on the team in scoring (11.8 ppg) while shooting 53.1 percent from the field. His all-around game was on full display throughout the season, as Moore also grabbed 4.8 rebounds per game and ranked second on the team with 4.1 assists per contest. Moore led Hagen to a 17-15 record and registered eight games with at least 15 points, including two 25+ point efforts. The Queens, N.Y., native is joined on the roster by fellow American and former Ohio State star CJ Walker. Moore came to Europe this past fall after beginning his pro career with the Iowa Wolves of the NBA G League.
10-year veteran
Ryan Pearson ('12) continues to make an impact in the professional ranks and recent wrapped up his season with Bayamon in Puerto Rico. His team leads the regular season standings with a 22-9 record and the playoffs approaching. The former CAA Player of the Year averages 3.9 points and 2.2 rebounds in 11.8 minutes per contest. He is shooting 58.1 percent from the floor. Pearson began the season playing for Urunday in Uruguay's LUB league.
Mason's Iron Man,
Will Thomas ('08), once again excelled on one of the game's biggest stages this year, reaching the finals of France-Betclic ELITE Pro A league with AS Monaco Basket. In his 14th professional season, Thomas averaged 9.5 points and 3.8 rebounds while shooting a sizzling 61.9 percent from the floor. He put together a number of double-digit scoring performances in the playoffs, including a 20-point effort (7-10 FG) against Strasbourg in the quarterfinals. After the conclusion of the season, Thomas signed with Unicaja in Spain. It's the veteran's third stint in the country's Liga Endesa and his second go around with Unicaja.
Shevon Thompson ('16) recently wrapped up another outstanding campaign during his fourth season in the NBA G League. Playing for the Agua Caliente Clippers under former Mason head coach Paul Hewitt, Thompson averaged career bests in scoring (13.1 ppg) and rebounding (11.2 rpg) while shooting nearly 70 percent from the floor. He ranked fourth in the G League in rebounds/game while posting the second-best field goal percentage, behind only Tacko Fall. Thompson helped lead the Clippers to a league-best 24-8 record.

Sherrod Wright ('14) is competing for the Chicago Raptors (PBL) after a substantial body of work overseas, while
Gabe Norwood ('07) continues his remarkable career in his native Philippines as a part of the PBA's Rain or Shine squad. Norwood is a 10-time PBA All-Star and a two-time league champion.
