Kennedy, a 5-foot-8 guard, brings leadership and championship experience to the Patriots, appearing in 68 games over three seasons with Marist. They helped the Red Foxes win the 2021 MAAC Women's Basketball Championship, earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
"Trey will be a welcomed addition to our backcourt," said Blair-Lewis. "They are a leader on and off the floor and will be extremely exciting to watch as they are a lock down defender. Their defensive intensity is infectious. They have a championship mentality, a competitive spirit and phenomenal work ethic."
During their time at Marist, Kennedy garnered All-MAAC accolades and was a two-time MAAC All-Academic selection. They had 478 points, 166 rebounds and 95 assists in her career.
Kennedy was second on the team in both scoring and rebounding in 2021-22, averaging 10.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per outing. They posted 11 double-digit scoring performances, including a season-high 18 points twice, hitting the mark against Fairfield (Dec. 18) and Quinnipiac (Feb. 24).

They scored a career-high 26 points against Fairfield on Jan. 16, 2021, finishing 5-of-7 from three-point range. They were the first Marist player since 2019 to make five three-pointers in a single game.
