Mason Concludes Regular Season at St. Bonaventure Saturday

FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's basketball team concludes the regular season at St. Bonaventure on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for noon in Olean, N.Y. 
 
Saturday's game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN+. In addition, Brian McSweeney will call the game on the GoMason Digital Network, with pre-game coverage beginning at 11:50 a.m.
 
PATRIOT POINTS
* Mason fell to Saint Louis, 58-35, in its home finale on Wednesday night inside EagleBank Arena. 
 
* Mason struggled offensively, shooting a season-low 26.3 percent from the field (15-57). The Patriots failed to make a three-pointer until the 4:08-mark in the fourth quarter, shooting a season-low 7.1 percent from deep (1-14).
 
* SLU owned a +21 advantage on the glass (51-30) and pulled down 14 offensive boards which resulted in 12 points for the Billikens. The Patriots are 2-13 when their opponent outrebounds them. 
 
* Senior Amaya Scott scored a team-high 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting. She's scored in double figures 22 times this season, including a stretch of 16 straight games. 
 
* Junior Jazmyn Doster pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds in the loss to SLU. She has led the team in boards in nine games this season.
 
* Doster has posted six double-digit rebounding performances in 2021-22. She ranks 11th in the A-10 with 6.3 boards per game. 
 
* Sophomore Taylor Jameson has come alive for the Patriots in conference play, posting nine double-digit scoring performances. In league action, she's averaging 11.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 37.8 percent from the field.  
 
* Mason is 8-2 when leading at the half, and 5-1 when leading with five minutes to go. Conversely, the Patriots are 0-15 when trailing at the half.
 
* Scott ranks sixth in the Atlantic 10 in scoring with 15.9 points per game. She sits 12th in rebounding (6.3) and 16th in field goal percentage (.455). She also ranks 62nd nationally in field goals made (162) and 101st in free throws made (88).
 
* The Patriots have struggled from the charity stripe in conference play, shooting just 61.6 percent from the line (138-224). 
 
* Lawhorne ranks 13th in the A-10 in three-point field goal percentage (.355) and 10th in three-pointers per game (1.7). She's recorded seven games with three-or-more three-pointers. 
 
* Redshirt sophomore Jayla Adams is currently averaging 3.6 assists per game – good for eighth in the A-10. She's led the team in assists 18 times this season and has dished out five-plus assists in nine games.
 
* Adams is nine assists shy of 100 assists this season. She'd be the first Patriot to eclipse 100 assists in a season since Taylor Dodson (110) and Nicole Cardano-Hillary (102) in 2017-18. 
 
* In league action only, Jameson sits 13th in three-pointers made per game (1.7) and 20th in three-point field goal percentage (.333). She has made 2-or-more three-pointers in seven A-10 games, nine overall.
 
SERIES HISTORY
The Bonnies have won five straight in the series to lead the all-time record, 7-5. Mason is looking for its first win over St. Bonaventure since Feb. 27, 2018 when the Patriots defeated the Bonnies, 89-79, in Fairfax.
 
The Patriots faced the Bonnies earlier this season on Jan. 23 in Fairfax, falling 81-74. Scott scored a career-high 35 points with career bests in field goals (12) and free throws (15). Her 35 points are the second-most points scored in the Atlantic 10 and tied for the 42nd-most points scored in the country this season. Her 15 made free throws rank first in the A-10 and are tied for eighth in the nation.
 
SCOUTING THE BONNIES (12-14, 4-11 A-10; NET 244)
St. Bonaventure enters Saturday's contest on a five-game losing streak. The Bonnies are led by A-10 Preseason All-Conference selection Asianae Johnson. Johnson sits second in the A-10 and 55th nationally in points per game (18.0). She leads the league in free throws made (95) and is third in field goals made (176). 

The Bonnies rank 93rd nationally in blocked shots (96). I'yanna Lops leads the team in the category with 38 blocks – good for 77th nationally.
