Atlantic 10 Release

FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason freshman catcher Connor Dykstra has been selected Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.

Dykstra, a native of Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada, batted .500 (5-for-10), with two home runs, double, five RBI and six runs scored in three starts behind the plate at Wofford this past weekend.

In the final game of the series, Dykstra reached base all five of his at-bats, going 3-for-3 and was hit by a pitch twice.  He belted his first two home runs as a Patriot, drove in three runs and scored five runs.

The Patriots are back on the diamond when they travel to face James Madison on Wednesday at Veterans Memorial Park in Harrisonburg, Va.
