FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's basketball team travels to the District to take on Revolutionary Rival George Washington on Wednesday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside the Charles E. Smith Center.
Wednesday's game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN+. In addition, Brian McSweeney will call the game on the GoMason Digital Network, with pre-game coverage beginning at 6:50 p.m.
PATRIOT POINTS
* Mason (8-15, 2-9 A-10) fell short to Saint Joseph's, 50-45, on Sunday afternoon inside EagleBank Arena. The Patriots dropped to 5-1 in games decided by five points or fewer.
* The Patriots pulled within one with under five minutes remaining (42-41), before SJU went on a 6-1 run (48-42). Mason had chances to take the lead late in the game, but the baskets didn't fall.
* Sophomore
Taylor Jameson led the Patriots with game-high 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting. She was the lone Patriot to make a three-pointer in the contest, finishing with two (2-4 3FG).
* Jameson has posted eight double-digit scoring performances in Atlantic 10 play. In league action, she's averaging 11.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 33.3 percent from deep (18-54 FG).
* Senior
Amaya Scott added 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting. She has scored in double figures in all but three games this season. She has led the team in scoring 12 times and rebounding nine times.
* Mason shot 31.9 percent from the field (15-47) and just 15.4 percent from three-point range (2-13). The Patriots struggled from the free throw line, making 13 of their 22 attempts (.591), and was just 6-of-12 from the charity stripe in the second half.
* Mason is 8-2 when leading at the half, and 5-1 when leading with five minutes to go. Conversely, the Patriots are 0-12 when trailing at the half.
* Scott ranks 94th nationally in points per game (16.4) – good for fourth in the Atlantic 10. She also ranks 64th nationally in field goals made (146) and 71st in free throws made (85). She sits ninth in the A-10 in rebounding (6.7) and 12th in field goal percentage (.458).
* Mason ranks 71st in the nation in free throws made, sinking 302 this season (.683). The Patriots have shot 70.0 percent or better from the line in 13 games but have shot under that mark in their last five contests, shooting 51.6 percent from the charity stripe (48-93).

Jordan Wakefield has scored in double figures in 14 games this season but just four of them have come in Atlantic 10 play. She ranks sixth in the A-10 in free throw percentage (.772).

Tamia Lawhorne ranks 16th in the A-10 in three-point field goal percentage (.360) and 13th in three-pointers per game (1.6).
* In league action only, Jameson sits 10th in three-pointers made per game (1.6) and 24th in three-point field goal percentage (.333). She has made 2-or-more threes in eight games this season, six in A-10 play.

Mason snapped a four-game losing skid to George Washington earlier this season, defeating the Colonials 52-46 on Jan. 29 in EagleBank Arena. Three Patriots finished in double figures behind junior
Jazmyn Doster's sixth career double-double (13 points/11 rebounds). The win marked the first A-10 win of the Coach Blair-Lewis era.
GW leads the all-time series, 28-14, and is 17-4 on its home court vs. the Patriots.
SCOUTING THE COLONIALS (10-14, 3-8 A-10; NET 203)
George Washington is on a three-game winning streak entering Wednesday's contest. The Colonials have held its last three opponents to fewer than 50 points – Duquesne (50-48), St. Bonaventure (60-47) and Saint Louis (63-41).
GW gives up only 55.3 points per game which ranks second in the Atlantic 10 and 22nd nationally. Their defense is holding opponents to 38.6 percent shooting from the floor and 30.9 percent from deep. Conversely, the Colonials rank last in the league in field goal percentage (.339) and three-point field goal percentage (.262).
