FAIRFAX, Va. – For the second-straight game, the George Mason women's basketball team had three players put on double-digit scoring performances to lead the team to a win over Loyola Maryland, 66-58.
Junior
Taylor Jameson and seniors

Nalani Kaysia all posted season-best point totals. Jameson was just one point off of her career high of 20 on 6-11 shooting with three made baskets from beyond the arc with two rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Lawhorne had a breakout game, more than tripling her previous season-best with 17 points to go along with two rebounds and an assist.

The Greyounds (2-3) were able to tie the game at 17, but four straight points by Mason gave them a cushion. Loyola pulled back within two at 26-24 on a three-point play by Taleah Dixon (28 PTS), but an immediate response by senior
Jazmyn Doster gave Mason the four-point lead once again. Mason ended the half on a 7-2 run and led by seven at the break.
It was all Lawhorne in quarter three, as she scored nine of the Patriots' 18 points on 3-3 shooting and one free throw. Senior
Sonia Smith paced the offense with three assists and Mason committed just three turnovers to preserve their seven-point lead after 30 minutes.
Loyola fought back, and was able to once again get within two on a 5-0 run to open the fourth quarter, but Mason responded with a 9-0 run of their own to open up an 11-point lead over the next 3:20. The Patriots relied on stout defense as the Greyhounds went 0-4 from the field and committed three turnovers in the same stretch.
