Yanira Lopez-Barahona registered a match-high 13 kills for the Patriots, but the George Mason women's volleyball team fell to Fordham in their final match of the season, 3-1.
In her final weekend as a Patriot, Lopez-Barahona led the Mason offense in both matches, averaging 3.33 kills/set. In Saturday's match, she also contributed a season-high five total blocks and five digs.

Mujay Mambu also registered double-digit kills with 10 each.
The Patriots (7-22, 3-15) were limited to just eight kills in set one, as Fordham was able to pick up their most kills in a set of the afternoon (16) while committing only three errors to win set one 25-13.
Despite Mason posting more kills than the Rams (13-16, 7-11) in set two, more errors once again plagued the Patriots as Fordham took a 2-0 match lead.
Mason would not give up however, having one of their best sets of the season with 17 kills and just two errors at a .455 clip. Ehmke led all players with five kills in the set to will the Patriots to the win and force a fourth set.
Set four was relatively even, with both teams trading kills and blocks throughout. The Patriots found themselves in a bit of a hole, trailing 16-9 and called a timeout. They would then score 11 of the next 16 points to pull within one at 21-20 behind four kills and six Fordham errors. However, good defense by the Rams forced four Mason errors at the end of the set as Fordham took the match, 3-1.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Ehmke performed at a match best .455 clip, notching her season-best 10 kills on 22 attempts with no errors in her final game as a Patriot.
- Senior Stephanie Der tallied a match-high 15 digs, bringing her career total to 1,176, good for fourth-best all time in George Mason program history. She also beat her previous season best with 415 total digs for 4.32 digs/set. She also tallied a career-best 97 assists and 18 service aces this season.
- Sophomore Damiana Bova-Ford tallied a team-best 19 assists, while freshman Gabriella Gelfound contributed 14 assists with three digs, two kills and a block assist.
- Sophomore Camille Larkin also made contributions at the net with five kills at a .214 efficiency and a team-best-tying four block assists.
