FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's volleyball team returns home to Fairfax this weekend to welcome the Duquesne Dukes for two matches in the RAC. Saturday's game will be played in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness and the first 200 students in attendance will get a free t-shirt.
The Dukes hold an edge in all time match-ups, 10-7, including the last four. Prior to joining the A-10, Mason won all five meetings from 1986-1993. However, since joining the conference in 2013, Duquesne has only dropped two matches to the Patriots. Mason's last win came as a five-set win on Oct. 19, 2018 on the road.
Mason and Duquesne are both tied in the conference standing with an A-10 record of 1-8.
The Dukes most recently split last weekend's two-match series with Rhode Island, sweeping the Rams in Friday's match 3-0 and dropping Saturday's game 3-1.
The Patriots are coming off two road losses (0-3, 1-3) to Loyola Chicago, who is currently undefeated in the A-10 at 9-0.
