MUNCIE, Ind. – The George Mason men's volleyball team (2-2) fell in three sets (11-25, 18-25, 10-25) to Ball State (3-0) on Friday night inside Worthen Arena.
Mason was unable to string together enough scoring plays to overcome the offensive efforts put forth by Ball State. The Cardinals racked up six service aces and 23 total blocks to give the Green & Gold their second loss of the season. Ball State has not lost a set so far this season.
"I am disappointed with the level of execution and discipline of our team tonight," head coach
Jay Hosack said. "Make no mistake, Ball State is a very good team. We did not play our brand of volleyball, and it showed. They learned what it looks like tonight, and we should be better in the future from it."
