ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The George Mason men's soccer team fell to No. 16 Saint Louis, 4-0, on Saturday evening at Hermann Stadium in St. Louis, Mo.
Mason (1-6-1, 0-2-0 A-10) fell behind Saint Louis (5-0-3, 2-0-0 A-10) midway through the first half.
In the 23rd minute of play, sophomore midfielder Kipp Keller converted a header off a corner kick into the bottom right corner from six yards out to put the Billikens in front, 1-0. Junior midfielder John Klein played the corner into the box to pick up the assist.
Saint Louis scored three goals in the second half.
Sophomore Kevin Komodi chipped the ball over the head of Mason goalkeeper
Jackson Lee and scored into the open net from 40 yards out to increase the lead to 2-0. Klein recorded his second assist of the match on the play for Saint Louis.
Freshman Isaiah Parker found the back of the net from 18 yards out in the 79th minute to make it a 3-0 game. Two minutes later, junior Simon Becher tapped in a cross from Parker from inside the six for the 4-0 final score.
Lee (1-6-1, 0-2-0 A-10) made four saves for Mason, while Saint Louis sophomore goalkeeper Patrick Schulte (4-0-3, 2-0-0 A-10) made two saves in the match.
