LAST TIME OUT
The Patriots' hard-fought effort on defense was not enough in the loss to the Pennsylvania Quakers on Sunday (2-1).

Possession of the ball was split evenly amongst the Patriots and Quakers as both teams tallied nine shots and three saves in the match. Pennsylvania recorded five shots on goal during the contest. The Patriots defensive efforts strained the Quakers offense as Pennsylvania recorded nine offsides calls in the match.

Senior goalkeeper Louisa Moser faced a total of nine shots (five on goal) and recorded three saves in fulltime. Senior Dacheka Kolcum recorded three shots during the game, two of which were on goal. Seniors Sara Chontosh and Shannon Lee, sophomore Katie Saunders, and freshmen Brianna BitzLea Spittka, and Halla Svansdóttir all recorded one shot each. Kolcum, the lone goal scorer for the Patriots, was assisted by Shannon Lee.

HISTORY vs. THE TIGERS
In the six total contests between the two programs, Mason has a 4-2 edge against the Tigers dating back to 1982 in the NCAA tournament.

The last time Mason met Princeton was almost 20 years ago, where the Patriots traveled to face the Tigers in 2002.

SCOUTING PRINCETON
The Tigers kicked their 2021 campaign strong with a 2-0 start, recording wins against Loyola (Md.) and Saint Joseph's. Due to COVID-19 protocols within the Ivy League, Princeton did not play a match within the 2020-21 academic year.

Princeton is led by Madison Curry, Lucy Rickerson, and Emma Davis who scored 14 of the team's 23 goals in the 2019 season. Curry is a first-team All-Ivy honoree, Rickerson is a three-time All-Ivy pick, and Davis is a 2018 All-Ivy honorable mention.
