FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's soccer team (0-2) fell to Maryland (2-0) by a score of 2-0 on Sunday night inside George Mason Stadium.
The contest marks the Patriots' second loss of the season and it is the second-straight defeat where the opponent has scored two goals.
Maryland controlled possession for the majority of the match, tallying two goals on 22 total shots (10 on goal). The Terrapin attack strained the Patriot defense throughout the contest, but Mason was still able to push through to get eight shots in the match (four on goal).
