EUGENE, Ore. – George Mason University women's track and field junior
Annabelle Eastman's historic season continues this Thursday at the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Eastman, a native of Melbourne, Australia, will compete in the 3000m steeplechase at 7:02 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday (June 10) at the newly renovated Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
She will race live on ESPN2 in the second heat of the semifinal round. The top-5 from each heat plus the next best two times move on to Saturday's final at 6:24 p.m. (ET).
The NCAA Championships will feature four days of competition, with wall-to-wall coverage on the ESPN Family of Networks.
Eastman qualified for her first outdoor track and field national championship after finishing fifth in the steeplechase at the NCAA East Preliminaries in Jacksonville last week. She placed third in the first heat with a time of 9:54.68 to automatically advance to Eugene.
The 2021 Atlantic 10 steeplechase champion comes in ranked No. 15 in the country. In addition, she is one of six student-athletes representing the Atlantic 10 at the national meet.
