FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason University women's volleyball head coach
Aylene Ilkson has announced the addition of
Anelise Johnson, a six-foot-one middle blocker from Ingleside, Ill.
"Anelise is a top middle from the midwest," said Ilkson. "She comes out of an excellent club who has trained her with solid fundamentals along with her drive to be the best offensively and defensively. She is going to be a real asset for us. She takes pride in being a dominate blocker and not only has a high volleyball IQ but brings a ton of energy not just for her own game but her teammates as well. I am so excited to welcome Anelise and her family to our George Mason Volleyball family."
She was a four-year varsity letterwinner in volleyball at Grant Community High School. She played club volleyball for Sky High under head coach Ben Formica.
