FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason men's soccer team plays its final match of the 2021 spring season, hosting VCU on Saturday afternoon, with the kickoff scheduled for 2 p.m. at George Mason Stadium in Fairfax, Va.
Last time out, Mason (0-5-3, 0-2-3 A-10) fell to George Washington, 1-0, on Saturday, April 3, at GW Soccer Field.
The Colonials scored the lone goal of the match in the 35th minute of play. Mason freshmen midfielders

Mason freshman goalkeeper
Jackson Lee, who has started every game this season, made five saves against George Washington. The Colonials outshot the Patriots, 14-9, including a 6-3 advantage in shots on goal.
Mason is 10-15-11 in 36 all-time meetings against VCU.

Sophomore defender Ethan Manheim scored his first career goal on a header in the 21st minute to tie the game, 1-1. George Washington scored an own-goal in the first minute of overtime to give the Rams the victory.
The Rams outshot the Colonials, 13-3, including a 7-2 margin in shots on goal. VCU had six corner kicks in the match.
The Rams kept their post-season hopes alive and are one point behind George Washington and Davidson in the Atlantic 10 Central division standings. To qualify for the A-10 Tournament, VCU needs a win against the Patriots and need the match between Davidson and George Washington to end in a draw.
