CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY
Mason will be competing in a championship event for the first time since March 1, 2020 when the Patriots participated in the 2020 A-10 Indoor Championships. The following conference championship meets (2020 outdoor, 2021 indoor) were canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mason swept the men's and women's outdoor titles in 2019. It marked the second time in four years both teams claimed the A-10 Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

The Mason women have won the A-10 outdoor championship four of the last six years while the men were crowned A-10 outdoor champions in 2015 and 2016.

REGULAR SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
During the 2021 outdoor season, three Patriots broke school records – Annabelle Eastman (5000m and 3000m steeplechase), Jaylen Simmons (hammer throw) and Hunter Jutras (10,000m).

In addition, Mason collected seven A-10 outdoor weekly awards: Harrison Shotwell (2x), Micah Harris (2x), Kiana Stallworth (2x) and Simmons.

The Mason men posted 18 new all-time marks while the women notched 13 new all-time marks.

SECOND STRAIGHT FOR SHOTWELL
For the second consecutive week, senior pole vaulter Harrison Shotwell was named Atlantic 10 Men's Field Performer of the Week. He set a new personal best in the pole vault with a height of 5.17m at the Navy Invitational (April 24). It marked his third straight first-place finish in the event. The height ranks first in the conference, 20th in the region and fifth in program history.

USTFCCCA UPDATES
The Mason women rank 18th in the USTFCCCA Southeast Region while the men came in at 19th.
