Mason Hosts GW Sunday for Senior Day

FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's soccer team (2-5-1, 2-2-1 A-10) will host George Washington on Sunday afternoon inside George Mason Stadium.
 
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET. Sunday will be the Patriots' final home game of the season and the program will be honoring senior Kayla Hamric prior to kickoff for Mason's Senior Day.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Green & Gold dropped a home contest against Davidson by a score of 1-0 last Sunday. Junior Sara Chontosh led Mason with game-highs in shots (3) and shots on goal (2).
 
Keeper Louisa Moser recorded her second career shot on a free kick opportunity. Moser faced 11 total shots in net for the Patriots, allowing one goal.
 
The Patriots are currently fourth in the A-10's south pod with a 2-2-1 conference record.
 
A LOOK AT GEORGE WASHINGTON (5-4, 3-3 A-10)
The Colonials are currently third in the A-10's south pod, just one spot ahead of the Patriots.
 
George Washington snapped a two-game losing skid on Thursday, defeating VCU in Richmond, Va., by a score of 1-0.
 
Natalie Silberman leads the Colonial attack with six goals on the season. Tori Minda leads the squad in shots (23) and shots on goal (13) for four goals and an assist on the year.
 
Keeper Tamaki Machi recorded her third shutout of the season on Thursday. Machi has 46 saves on the season, allowing a total of 11 goals for a save percentage of 0.807.
 
HISTORY vs. THE COLONIALS
Mason beat George Washington earlier this season in Washington D.C., defeating the Colonials by a score of 2-1 on March 14. The win was Mason's first of the season.
 
The Patriots have won five of the last six against the Colonials, with the other meeting finishing in a draw (Oct. 24, 2019). In that six-game span, the Green & Gold have outscored George Washington 12-6.
 
TICKET AVAILABILITY/SAFETY PROTOCOLS
The capacity at George Mason Stadium will be a maximum of 250 spectators. The Field House will be closed during all games, a restroom trailer will be provided outside the stadium. All fans should use the side entrance of George Mason Stadium located behind the scoreboard. Face coverings must be worn at all times and social distance seating will be enforced.
 
A limited number of tickets will be available for purchase on online or by calling the Athletic Ticket Office at 703-993-3270. Visiting teams may contact the Athletic Ticket Office about ticket availability as they will not have access to complementary tickets. All tickets are priced at $8 each. Students will be able to request a ticket online.
