Game Recap: Men's Volleyball |
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The third-seeded George Mason University men's volleyball team fell in four sets to first-seeded Penn State in the EIVA Championship inside Rec Hall.

The Nittany Lions won the first two games in the match and capped off the conference title in the fourth set (20-25, 20-25, 32-30, 20-25).

The loss concludes Mason's impressive 2021 season with an overall record of 15-7, including an EIVA Championship appearance and two separate six-game winning streaks.

"We just didn't have an answer tonight to slow Penn State down," head coach Jay Hosack said. "Brett Wildman and Cal Fisher are two very good players, we thought we did some things to adjust but unfortunately we didn't have the answers for them all the time. I am absolutely 100 percent proud of my guys, they never said 'die'."
