FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason men's and women's track and field teams will compete in the 55th Annual Colonial Relays on Friday and Saturday, hosted by William & Mary at Zable Stadium in Williamsburg, Va.
Competition begins Friday at 11 a.m. with the women's javelin. The running events will begin at 1 p.m. with the women's 100m hurdles. Friday's evening session will conclude with the men's 10,000m at 8:20 p.m.
Saturday's events will start at 11 a.m. with the men's hammer throw. The running events are slated for 1 p.m. with the 4x100 relays.

LAST TIME OUT
Mason competed at the Raleigh Relays (March 25-27), setting 12 new marks in the all-time record book including shattering the school records in the women's 5000m and men's hammer throw.
Junior
Annabelle Eastman broke a 23-year-old school record in the women's 5000m, running a PR of 16:12.59. The time ranks first in the Atlantic 10 and 15th nationally.
Senior
Jaylen Simmons set a new program record in the hammer throw with a PR of 58.15m. He also moved up to fourth on Mason's all-time outdoor record list in the discus with a PR of 50.16m.

SIMMONS HONORED
Simmons was named Atlantic 10 Men's Field Performer of the Week after putting together a solid outing in the hammer throw, shot put and discus at the Raleigh Relays.
Simmons improved his own program record in the hammer throw with a mark of 58.15m – good for second in the Atlantic 10 and 36th on the NCAA East Qualifying List.
He also added a PR of 50.16m in the discus and a seventh-place toss of 17.11m in the shot put. The marks rank first and second in the A-10, respectively.
It marked the first A-10 weekly honor of the season for the Waynesboro, Va., product and the seventh of his career.
REGIONAL RANKINGS
In the first USTFCCCA regional rankings of the 2021 outdoor season, the Patriot women were ranked 19th in the Southeast Region. On the men's side, Mason came in at 22nd.
UP NEXT
The Patriots will return home to host the Mason Spring Invitational on Sunday, April 11. The all-day event will be held at George Mason Stadium.
