Box Score PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The George Mason women's volleyball team suffered a straight-set loss to La Salle on Friday afternoon in Philadelphia, Pa.
The Patriots drop to 3-7 overall and 3-2 in Atlantic 10 play with five conference matches remaining.
Mason was led by junior opposite
Katie Parmalee who tallied a career-high 16 kills at a .407 clip. She was the only Patriot to finish with double-digit kills.
The Patriots will now return home for a Sunday matchup with Fordham. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. inside the RAC.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- La Salle finished with a hitting percentage of .272 in the match. Mason was held to a clip of just .154.
- Mason struggled to find its offensive rhythm in the first two frames, hitting .037 and .069 in the first and second set, respectively.
- The Patriots had much more success in the third and final stanza, tallying 14 kills and only three attacking errors for a hitting percentage of .314.
- Sophomore Christina Walker (8) and junior Peyton Ehmke (5) combined for 13 kills and only two attacking errors.
- Junior setter Erin Derick posted 27 assists, three digs, three aces and two blocks in an all-around performance. She is now She is now 11 assists from 1,000 in her career for the Green & Gold.
- Mason posted seven total blocks, including a career-high five blocks from Parmalee.
- On defense, libero Stephanie Der tallied 10 digs while Marley Willard added seven digs.
