WASHINGTON, D.C. – The George Mason women's volleyball team earned a four-set victory over Revolutionary Rival George Washington on Friday evening in Washington, D.C.
With the win, the Patriots ended the season on a two-match winning streak and earned the season sweep of the Colonials.
Mason finishes the 2021 spring campaign with an overall record of 5-10 and mark of 5-5 in the Atlantic 10 East Regional Pod.
"I am so proud of each and every student-athlete in our program, not just for tonight's match but for the entire season," said head coach
Aylene Ilkson. "They have fought as a team for every point, set and match this season and have been truly resilient. Tonight was a complete team effort. There was a major turnaround after the first set with competitive serving and passing to go along with a balanced attack. As challenging as this season has been for our program and those across the country, I couldn't have asked for a better group of women to battle through it alongside."
Five Patriots led the team in attacking, including a team-high 10 kills by junior
Katie Parmalee.
Marlanna Bozicevich (9),
Peyton Ehmke (8),
