FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason men's soccer team plays its second home game in Atlantic 10 play, hosting Davidson on Saturday, March 27, with the opening kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. at George Mason Stadium in Fairfax, Va.
 
Last time out, Mason (0-3-3, 0-0-3 A-10) played to its third straight draw, 0-0, against VCU on Saturday afternoon at Sports Backers Stadium in Richmond, Va.

The Patriots and Rams were scoreless after the first 45 minutes of play.  Mason recorded seven of its 11 shot attempts in the first half.  In the second half, the two teams focused on defense, with both clubs posting just one shot on goal.
 
Mason freshman goalkeeper Jackson Lee made three saves, including one in the second overtime, to notch his second straight shutout.

Sophomore forward Kent Harrison leads the team in goals (2) and points (4) and is second on the club in shots on goal (6).  Freshman midfielder Ishmail Kamara is second on the team in goals (1) and leads the Patriots in shots (15) and shots on goal (8).  Sophomore midfielder Léon Reilhac leads the club in assists (2). 
 
Lee (0-3-3, 1.45) has made 22 saves and allowed 10 goals in six games played.
 
The Patriots are 5-1-2 in eight all-time meetings against Davidson.
 
The two teams met two weeks ago, playing to a 2-2 double-overtime draw on March 14 at Alumni Stadium in Davidson, N.C.
 
After a scoreless first half, the Patriots built a 2-0 lead early in the second half when Harrison scored his first two goals with the Green and Gold in a span of 1:21.  Freshman midfielder Christopher Schray recorded his first collegiate assist in the match.
 
The Wildcats found the back of the net in the 75th and scored the equalizer in the 82nd minute to send the game to overtime.
 
Davidson outshot Mason, 20-8, including a 9-4 edge in shots on goal.  Lee made a season-high six saves in the match.
 
SCOUTING DAVIDSON
 
Davidson is 1-3-2 overall in the 2021 spring season.  The Wildcats are 1-2-1 at home and 0-1-1 on the road. 
 
Last time out, the Wildcats played to a 1-1 double-overtime draw on March 17 at George Washington.  Junior forward Lucas Hauth scored to equalizer in the 84th minute.  The Wildcats outshot the Colonials, 15-10, including a 5-2 edge on shots on goal.   

Davidson dropped its first match of the 2021 spring season, 1-0, to Liberty on Feb. 10.  The Flames scored on their lone shot on goal in the match.
 
The Wildcats fell to then-No. 3 Wake Forest, 1-0, on March 1, in Winston-Salem, N.C.  The Demon Deacons scored the game-winning in the 75th minute.
 
Davidson scored three goals in the second half to defeat Wofford, 3-2, on March 6 in Davidson, N.C.
 
Hauth leads the club in goals (3) and shots on goal (7), while he is tied for the team lead in points (6).  Freshman forward Adam Luckhurst is second on the team in goals (2) and shots of goal (6).  He is tied for the team lead in points (6).
 
Sophomore goalkeeper Giacomo Piccardo (1-2-2, 1.29 GAA) has played five games.  He has made 15 saves and allowed seven goals against.  Senior goalkeeper Zach Schewe (0-1-0, 1.00 GAA) has played one game.
 
CORNER KICK
 
Davidson finished the 2019 season with a 4-11-2 overall record, including a mark of 3-5-0 in Atlantic 10 play.  The Wildcats were 4-3-1 at home and 0-8-1 on the road. 
 
The Wildcats fell, 7-3, to top-seeded Rhode Island in the first round of the 2019 A-10 Tournament in Kingston, R.I.
