FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's volleyball team will conclude the regular season on Friday against George Washington. First serve is scheduled for 5 p.m. in the District.
Friday's match will be broadcast nationally on ESPN+.
LAST TIME OUT
Mason (4-10, 4-5 A-10) capped off the home portion of its schedule with a four-set victory over La Salle on Wednesday. Mason snapped a five-game losing streak to the Explorers, dating back to 2017.
Junior middle hitter
Katie Parmalee registered a career-high nine blocks, including four solo blocks. She added a team-high 11 kills at a .320 clip.
The Patriots put together one their best offensive performances of the season, finishing with a hitting percentage of .230 in the match. Freshman setter
Grace Kristofic notched her first career double-double with 16 assists and 10 digs.
SCOUTING THE COLONIALS
Following a pause for COVID-19 protocols, GW will play its first match since March 6. The Colonials are 1-8 on the season and 0-6 in the Atlantic 10 East Regional Pod.
The Patriots earned a pair of victories over the Colonials earlier this season. In the first matchup, Mason swept GW behind a season-high hitting percentage of .326.
The following day, Mason claimed a thrilling five-set victory over George Washington. Junior
Marlanna Bozicevich notched 25 digs and four assists in the win.
