FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's volleyball team will wrap up its home slate on Wednesday against La Salle. First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m. inside the Recreation Athletic Complex.
 
Wednesday's game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN+. 
 
LAST TIME OUT
Mason (3-10, 3-5 A-10) fell in four sets to Rhode Island on Saturday (March 20). The Patriots evened the match at one set apiece but could not overcome large leads by Rhode Island in the final two sets.
 
In the loss, sophomore Christina Walker tallied a team-high 11 kills at a .281 clip to go along with four blocks. Sophomore libero Stephanie Der posted 21 digs and two service aces.
 
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS
La Salle sits in first place in the Atlantic 10 East Regional Pod with a record of 5-1. The Explorers split a pair of matches against Fordham last weekend. La Salle fell in straight sets on Friday before earning a five-set victory the following day.
 
Elizabeth Osborn leads the team with 5.39 kills per set while Isa Lopez, two-time A-10 Defensive Player of the Week, averages 6.52 digs per set.
 
The Patriots hold a slim 7-6 lead in the all-time series vs. the Explorers. Mason looks to snap a five-match losing streak to La Salle for its first victory over the Explorers since 2017.

UP NEXT
Mason will conclude the regular season with a road contest against George Washington on Friday (March 26). First serve is scheduled for 5 p.m.

The RAC Gym will have a capacity of 30 spectators, limited to student-athlete and staff guests as well as Mason students. Tickets will not be available to the public. Face coverings will be required and seating will be in pods that are socially distanced. Students may request a ticket online.
