Mason Defeats George Washington in #RevRivalry

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The George Mason women's soccer team (1-4,1-1) tallied their first win of 2021, defeating George Washington in extra time on Sunday afternoon.

The win is also Mason's first A-10 win, putting their conference record at 1-1. The Patriots are one of just five Atlantic 10 teams that have won a conference game in 2021.

"I'm happy for our players," head coach Todd Bramble said "It took a total team effort today. Getting three points at George Washington is always a challenge and our team left everything out on the field today to get it done."

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

Junior Dacheka Kolcum paced the Patriots with her first goal of the season, a career high five shots (four on goal) and an assist for three points on the day.
Freshman Katie Saunders recorded her first collegiate goal on Sunday.
Senior Kayla Hamric tallied three shots (one on goal), while sophomore Grace Hotaling notched two shots (two on goal) for Mason's attack.
The Patriots outshot the Colonials 11-6.
The Green & Gold's two goals, five points, 11 shots and eight shots on goal are all season highs for Mason.
