Patriots Fall to No. 10 Virginia on Sunday

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The George Mason women's soccer team (0-2) fell to No. 10 Virginia (1-0) by a score of 2-0 on Sunday afternoon inside Klöckner Stadium.
 
The contest marks the Patriots' second loss of the season and it is the second-straight two-goal defeat.
 
Virginia controlled possession for the majority of the match, tallying two goals on 18 total shots (six on goal). The Cavalier attack strained the Patriot defense throughout the contest, limiting Mason's transition attack to just one shot.
