FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's basketball team will conclude the A-10 regular season with a road contest against George Washington on Sunday. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. inside the Charles E. Smith Center.
Sunday's game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN+.
PATRIOT POINTS
* Mason could not overcome a cold shooting night, falling to Davidson 68-42 on Feb. 20 in EagleBank Arena. Mason shot 28.6 percent from the floor (14-49) and made all six of its three-pointers in the second half, finishing 6-of-18 from deep (.333).
* Davidson made 10 three-point field goals (.357) and finished 35.6 percent from the field overall (21-59). Mason is 1-11 when its opponent makes 7-or-more three-point field goals.

Daijah Jefferson scored 10 points and pulled down nine rebounds against Davidson. It marked the 10th double-digit scoring performance of the season for the graduate forward. She has led the team in scoring on six occasions and in rebounding nine times.
* Jefferson is averaging 10.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.0 blocks over the last seven games for the Patriots (Jan. 26-Feb. 20). She is shooting 79.2 percent from the free throw line, sinking 19-of-24 attempts.

Taylor Jameson has made at least one field goal in 19 straight games for the Patriots. She scored seven points against Davidson (Feb. 20) and eight points against Duquesne (Feb. 14).
* After missing the last two games due to injury, sophomore
Jordan Wakefield returned to the hardwood against Davidson (Feb. 20). She scored seven points on 3-of-4 shooting and added three rebounds and two assists.
* Redshirt freshman
Rachel Balzer has started the last eight games for the Patriots, scoring in double figures on four occasions over that stretch. She leads the team in three-point field goals made (31) and ranks in the top-10 in Atlantic 10 play in three-pointers made with 24.
* Balzer has registered 3-or-more three-point field goals in seven games in 2020-21, with six of them coming in conference play. She recorded back-to-back games with 4-or-more treys against St. Bonaventure (Feb. 12) and Duquesne (Feb. 14). She scored 15 points and 14 points, respectively, to land on the A-10 weekly honor roll.
* The Patriots are second in the conference in offensive rebounds per game (13.5) and third in total rebounds per game (40.1). The Patriots have a league-best 802 total rebounds. But, the Patriots have been outrebounded in their last two games.
* The Patriots have three players ranking in the top-25 in rebounding in the A-10 – Jefferson (7th, 7.4), Doster (18th, 6.0) and Korpinen (23rd, 5.3).
* Mason currently boasts a free throw percentage of .714 – good for third in the A-10. They rank third in the A-10 in FT made (202) and FT attempts (280). Korpinen ranks eighth in free throw percentage (.754), converting 46-of-61 attempts.

Marika Korpinen moved into sole possession of 20th in program history in three-point field goals made with 80. She is one three-pointer shy of tying Amber Easter in 19th with 81.
* The Atlantic 10 Conference will adjust the dates of the 2021 Women's Basketball Championships, moving the entire women's championship a week later to March 10-14.

George Washington is led by freshman Ali Brigham who is averaging an A-10 freshman-high 12.3 points per game. She is shooting 51.8 percent from the floor - good for second in the conference. Preseason All-Conference Third Team selection Neila Luma adds 8.3 ppg and 6.4 rpg.
Graduate student Jasmine Whitney leads the league in steals per game (2.8) and ranks second in the league in assists per game (4.8).
