FAIRFAX, Va. – The No. 13 George Mason men's volleyball team (5-1, 2-0) hosts Saint Francis (Pa.) (1-10, 0-4) on Friday (Feb. 19) and Saturday (Feb. 20). Both matches are slated to being at 7 p.m. ET.

This will be the Patriots' first match in two weeks. Mason was scheduled to play last weekend at Sacred Heart, but the contests were postponed due to a positive covid test on Sacred Heart's squad.

The Patriots are currently ranked 13^th in the AVCA Top 15 Coaches' Poll and are first in the EIVA conference standings with a 2-0 record. Penn State (6-2, 3-1) and NJIT (3-3, 3-1) are right behind the Green & Gold at second and third in the conference.

Mason is currently on a four-game winning streak. The Green & Gold have lost just two sets in that four-game span, including three straight-set victories. The four consecutive victories is the longest streak for the Patriots since they won five-straight in 2019.

SCOUTING SAINT FRANCIS (PA.) (1-10, 0-4)
The Red Flash have lost eight in-a-row with their only win of the season coming against Queens (3-2) on Jan. 16.

Redshirt junior Joshua Blair leads the Red Flash with a team-high nine service aces, 81 kills and a team best .418 attacking percentage in 43 sets played.

Saint Francis has played the most games in the EIVA (11) while Mason has only played six this season.

Mason played the Red Flash once last season, defeating Saint Francis in four sets (17-25, 27-25, 25-21, 25-18). The Patriots have been victorious three of the last five times against the Red Flash.

The Patriots hold the all-time head-to-head series lead against Saint Francis by a record of 37-17.

The RAC Gym will have a capacity of 30 spectators, limited to student-athlete and staff guests as well as Mason students. Tickets will not be available to the public. Face coverings will be required and seating will be in pods that are socially distanced. Students may request a ticket online.
