PATRIOT POINTS
• The Patriots will look to stop a 5-game skid on Saturday. In Mason's most recent game, the Patriots were upended by Old Dominion, 60-50. Mason was victimized by a poor shooting night in which it posted season lows for FG% (.327) and 3pt FG% (.214).

• Junior Josh Oduro led Mason with his first double-double of the season and fourth of his career. He notched 14 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks in the contest.

• Oduro ranks third in the A-10 and 44th nationally in FG% (.614). He is seventh in the league in scoring (16.6 ppg).

• Graduate student DeVon Cooper notched a game-high 15 points vs. the Monarchs. He is averaging 16.0 points and 3.5 3pt FG/game over the past four contests. He is just 13 points away from 1,000 for his career.

• The Patriots shot 40.9 percent from beyond the arc and made 11.2 3-pointers per game over their first six contests. Over the past three, Mason is making 7.3 per contest and shooting 25.3 percent from 3pt range.

• The Patriots rank 57th nationally in effective field goal percentage (.538) and 59th in 2pt field goal percentage (.544) this season.

• Mason was held to a season-low 50 points Saturday. The Patriots are 4-2 when scoring 70+ points, but 0-3 when failing to reach the 70-point plateau.

• Junior Davonte "Ticket" Gaines has tallied three double-doubles this season, which ranks third amongst A-10 student-athletes.

• Mason has found success this season when scoring is distributed amongst a number of players. The Patriots are 4-1 when four or more players reach double figures in a game.

• Mason gets 40.8 percent of its points from 3pt range this season (31st nationally) and 43.4 percent from 2pt range (322nd nationally). The Patriots are second in the A-10 and 35th in the country in 3pt FG made per game (9.9).

HISTORY vs. NAVY
Tuesday's matchup marks the 26th game between the two institutions in men's basketball. In the most recent meeting, Mason upended the Midshipmen, 68-55 in overtime, on Nov. 5, 2019, in the season opener for both teams. Mason is 9-3 when facing Navy at home, 6-6 when traveling to Annapolis, and 1-0 at neutral sites. The Patriots and Midshipmen met twice in CAA Tournament play and split that pair of meetings in 1986 and 1991. The Patriots have won 11 straight in the series, although prior to last season, the two programs had not met since 1991. Prior to their CAA days, both schools participated in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference South (ECACS), beginning in the early 1980s. The two teams both entered the CAA in the same season (1985-86) and remained in the same conference for six years until the Midshipmen moved to the Patriot League in the 1991-92 season.

HISTORY vs. PATRIOT LEAGUE PROGRAMS
Mason is 70-33 (.680) all time against teams currently in the Patriot League. The Patriots' most common opponents are American (32-11), Navy (16-9) and Loyola (8-6). The Green & Gold are 7-4 against Bucknell. Mason also will play American this season on Dec. 21 in Fairfax. Mason last played a Patriot League foe exactly two years ago (12/7/19), when the Patriots upended American 68-53 inside EagleBank Arena.

A LOOK AT THE MIDSHIPMEN (6-2, 0-0 PATRIOT; KenPom 125, NET 107)

Navy ranks ninth nationally in scoring defense (55.1 ppg) and 71st in defensive efficiency (0.961 points allowed/possession). Senior guard John Carter Jr. leads the Middies in scoring (14.3 ppg), while senior guard Greg Summers leads the team in rebounding (5.1 rpg) and assists (2.6 apg). Summers also chips in 8.4 points per contest.
