LEWISBURG, Pa. – George Mason University senior
Amaya Scott scored 24 points, but it wasn't enough as the Patriots (6-5) fell to the Bucknell Bison (8-2), 77-67, on Saturday afternoon in Lewisburg, Pa.
Scott was one point shy of her career high in points and pulled down a team-high seven rebounds. It marked the seventh time she's led the team in scoring this season and sixth time in rebounding.

Jordan Wakefield added 14 points while sophomore
Taylor Jameson made three three-pointers to finish with 10 points.
Mason received valuable minutes off the bench from sophomores
Jayla Adams and
Vanessa Laumbach. Adams finished with a career-high 10 points to go along with three assists, two steals and two rebounds. It marked the ninth time she's led the team in assists this season. Laumbach played 11 minutes, knocking down her first three-pointer of the season.
In addition, sophomore
Angelee Rodriguez made her Green & Gold debut, playing seven minutes and grabbing three rebounds.
Taylor O'Brien led five Bucknell players in double-figuring scoring with 16 points as the Bison won their seventh straight game.
The Patriots got off to a rough start as Bucknell jumped out to a 13-0 lead before Adams put Mason on the scoreboard with 6:50 remaining. Bucknell scored 15 of its 22 first quarter points from beyond the arc (5-of-6) and would finish the game shooting 52.4 percent (11-21 3FGs) from long distance.
Mason forced three turnovers in three straight possessions and scored the first four points to start the second half. The Patriots would cut the lead to 10 points on several occasions, and eventually cut the lead to eight on a Scott layup with 1:10 remaining in the game. Scott stole the ball on the next possession, but Bucknell stole it right back to secure the win.
Bucknell scored 23 points off turnovers compared to only eight by Mason. The Bison also outscored the Patriots 27-17 in the paint.
Mason comes home to finish its non-conference slate with two games. The Patriots will play James Madison on Monday, Dec. 20 at 3 p.m. and Coppin State on Tuesday, Dec. 28 at 5 p.m.
