Jacquee Clabeaux was selected Atlantic 10 Women's Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week, while freshman
Ali Tyler was named A-10 Women's Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
Clabeaux won two individual events and helped set two meet records and two program records at the Patriot Invitational Nov. 18-20 at the Jim McKay Natatorium in Fairfax.
A senior from Fairfax, Va., Clabeaux won both the 200-yard IM (2:01.32) and the 200-yard breaststroke with a NCAA B time of 1:56.33. She also placed fourth in the 100-yard butterfly (55.44).
Clabeaux was a member of the winning 400-yard medley relay team that set a program record with a time of 3:40.69, and part of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay team that set a program record with a time of 1:31.96.
Clabeaux was also member of the winning 800-yard freestyle relay team that set a new meet record by more than five seconds (7:24.76), and was part of the group that set a new meet record in the 400-freestyle relay (3:20.84).
Tyler, a native of Cheshire, Conn., won two individual events and helped the Patriots set three meet records and three program records in the relay events.
Tyler was named A-10 Women's Rookie of the Week for the third time this season. She set a new meet record in the 400-IM, winning the event with a time of 4:13.02, breaking the record that had stood since Nov. 22, 2008 by more than two seconds. She also won the 200-yard backstroke with a NCAA B time (1:56.33) and placed second in the 50-yard freestyle (22.65).
Tyler was a member of the winning 400-yard medley relay team that set a program record with a time of 3:40.69. Swimming the backstroke leg, she also set a school record with a time of 54.27.
Tyler was also a member of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay team that set a program record (1:31.96), part of the 800-yard freestyle relay team that set a new meet record by more than five seconds (7:24.76), and a member of the 400-freestyle relay team that set a new meet record (3:20.84).
