Fairfax, Va.— George Mason Athletics and multimedia rights partner, Learfield/IMG College-- George Mason Sports Properties, announced today that Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) will broadcast three Patriots men's basketball games during the 2021-22 season.
Returning for its 16th consecutive season with the Patriots, MASN's slate of games will begin with a home contest against former conference rival Old Dominion on Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. The meeting between the two Virginia programs will be the 59
th in the series.
The Patriots will produce two Atlantic 10 conference games for broadcast on MASN, beginning with a home contest against the Dayton Flyers on Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. The Flyers have qualified for postseason play all three seasons under Coach Anthony Grant.
The broadcast team for the first two MASN games will feature color analyst Craig Esherick paired with the Voice of the Patriots Bill Rohland.
The regional sports network will air the Mason Homecoming game against VCU (Feb. 12) inside EagleBank Arena on Saturday, Feb. 12, at 4 p.m. on MASN2. The Rams are predicted to finish fourth in the conference according to the Atlantic 10 preseason poll announced in October.
Washington Post columnist John Feinstein will join the Rohland on the broadcast team for the VCU game.
Also, the Patriots will appear on NBC Sports Network on three occasions and twice on CBS Sports Network during conference play. MASN will air two other Mason conference games this season, at VCU on Dec. 30 from the Siegel Center and the game at Richmond, Jan. 11.
Patriots' home contests and all conference games that are not aired nationally will be carried on ESPN+, the first multi-sport, direct-to-consumer subscription streaming service from The Walt Disney Company Direct-to-Consumer & International division in partnership with ESPN.
