2021 Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Awards
 
FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason senior defender Jakob Rylander has been selected to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team, the conference announced on Thursday.
 
Rylander, a native of Stockholm, Sweden, played in 15 matches with 14 starts during the 2021 fall season.  He played the fourth-most minutes of any field player on the club (1299 MIN) and recorded one goal and one assist for three points.
 
A defender, Rylander scored the golden goal in the 95th minute of play to lift the Patriots to a 1-0 victory over Furman on Aug. 29 at George Mason Stadium.
 
Rylander played in 23 matches with 22 starts over his two years with the Green and Gold.  He will graduate with a 4.0 GPA and a degree in accounting.
