BRONX, N.Y. – The George Mason men's soccer team dropped its road match to reigning Atlantic 10 champion Fordham, 2-1, on Saturday night at Jack Coffey Field in Bronx, N.Y.
Mason (2-9-1, 0-4-0 A-10) fell behind Fordham (5-7-1, 3-2 A-10) midway through the first half.
Graduate student midfielder Jacob Bohm scored his first goal of the season in the 31st minute to put the Rams in front, 1-0. Sophomore midfielder Max Rogers picked up the assist after he started the play with a free kick.
In the 55th minute, Fordham sophomore defender Sebastian Fabrin increased the lead when he scored with a header to make it a 2-0 game. Rogers recorded his team-leading fifth assist of the season on the play.
Mason freshman forward
Balint Kocso converted with a header from 15 yards out in the 70th minute to make it a one-goal game. Freshman midfielder
Linus Dahl picked up his third assist of the year, while freshman midfielder
Jose Alvarado recorded his first collegiate assist.
Mason sophomore goalkeeper
Jackson Lee (2-9-1, 0-4-0 A-10) made two saves, while Fordham sophomore goalkeeper Nick Buchholz (5-3-0) made one save in the match.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
The Rams outshot the Patriots, 18-8, including a 4-2 advantage in shots on goal. Fordham had seven corner kicks, while Mason had three corner kicks in the match.
Sophomore midfielder
Louis Lehr and Kocso each registered one shot on goal for the Patriots.

The Patriots return home to face VCU on Saturday, Oct. 16 with the opening kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. at George Mason Stadium.
