FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's volleyball team will wrap up its four-match road stretch this weekend against Rhode Island and Fordham.
The Patriots (2-13, 0-4 A-10) will travel to Rhode Island (8-11, 0-3 A-10) on Friday. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
Mason will then head to Fordham (3-11, 0-3 A-10) for a 1 p.m. match on Sunday in the Bronx.
PATRIOT POINTS
- Mason dropped to 0-4 in conference play after falling to VCU, 3-1, and Davidson, 3-0, last weekend. It marked the Patriots' 13th straight loss.
- Freshman right side Olyvia Kennedy led the Patriots over the weekend, averaging 2.57 kills per set while hitting .256. She is second on the team in kills (128) and kills per set (2.42).
- Freshman Ewelina Gacek tallied three aces against VCU on Friday. She currently ranks second in the A-10 in service aces per set with 0.47.
- Senior Peyton Ehmke averaged 2.00 kills per set on a .294 hitting percentage last weekend. She sits sixth in the league in hitting percentage with a clip of .286.
- Senior setter Erin Derick is second in the Atlantic 10 in assists per set (8.50). She has registered five double-doubles this season, including a 31-assist, 14-dig performance vs. VCU.
- Mason is 2-13 all-time against Rhode Island. The two teams split the series in 2020-21 with Mason earning a 3-2 win in the first meeting.
- Fordham holds a slight 7-6 advantage in the all-time series history. The Rams defeated Mason in both meetings in 2020-21.
