FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason men's soccer team played its final match of the season, falling to La Salle, 4-1, on Saturday afternoon at George Mason Stadium in Fairfax, Va.

Mason (2-13-1, 0-8-0 A-10) fell behind La Salle (6-10-1, 2-6-0 A-10) early in the first half.

Sophomore midfielder Scott Beeks chipped a shot around Mason sophomore goalkeeper
Jackson Lee for his first goal of the season to put the Explorers in front 1-0.

Lee tied his career high with nine saves in the match.

La Salle doubled the lead in the 20th minute when sophomore forward Junior Nare scored on a rebound, netting his sixth goal of the season to make the score 2-0.

In the 33rd minute, Mason sophomore forward
Ishmail Kamara netted his second goal of the season when he blasted a shot into the lower right corner to make it a one-goal game.

La Salle added two goals in the second half.

Senior forward Nigel Buckley scored his team-leading seventh goal of the season in the 60th minute to expand the advantage to 3-1.

In the 75th minute, Explorers junior defender Franc Gamiz Quer converted a header from just outside the six for his second goal of the season to make it 4-1.

Lee (2-13-1, 0-8-0 A-10) made nine saves, while La Salle senior goalkeeper Britt Werner (2-0-0) made two saves in the match to earn the win.
