FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's volleyball team hits the road for a rematch with Saint Louis on Friday at Chaifetz Pavilion in Saint Louis, Mo.
First serve between the Patriots and Billikens is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. The match will be broadcast nationally on ESPN+.
Saint Louis won the first matchup between the two teams, 3-1, on Oct. 24 in Fairfax.
PATRIOT POINTS
- Mason (5-17, 3-8 A-10) picked up a pair of conference wins last weekend against Fordham, 3-1, and Rhode Island, 3-0.
- Senior libero Marlanna Bozicevich averaged an impressive 5.36 digs per set last weekend. She posted 26 digs in Mason's sweep of Rhode Island for the most digs in a three-set match by an A-10 player this season.
- Senior setter Erin Derick has recorded a double-double in four of the last five matches. She notched a pair of double-doubles against Fordham (49a/11d) and Saint Louis (33a/16d). She ranks fourth in the A-10 in assists per set (8.47).
- Senior Katie Parmalee lifted Mason's block presence, averaging 1.18 blocks per set for matches played Oct. 22-24. She tied her season-high six blocks in Mason's win over Fordham.
- Mason's freshmen trio of Olyvia Kennedy, Ewelina Gacek and BrookeLynn Sapp has stepped up for the Patriots over the last five matches. Kennedy averaged 3.47 kills and 2.26 digs per set while Gacek added 3.47 kills and 1.95 digs per set. In addition, Sapp posted two double-digit kill performances during the stretch to go along with 2.47 kills per set.
