FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason men's volleyball program has announced their full schedule for the 2022 season, featuring two contests (one home game) against Penn State and a 16-game EIVA slate.
 
The away schedule proves to be the toughest for the Patriots as the Green & Gold are set to face five programs inside the top 15 of the AVCA Division I-II Coaches' poll, as of May 2021. The program has a total of 17 away matches and 10 home matches this season.

"We are excited to get back to a more 'normal' type schedule," seventh year head coach Jay Hosack said. "We look forward to getting back out on the road and playing a national schedule with teams all across the country. This team is young, but they have learned from a talented group of seniors that graduated last year, and they know what they have to do in order to be successful."

NON-CONFERENCE SLATE
 
Mason will open their 2022 season in Wilson, N.C. for their first match against Barton (Jan. 14). The Patriots will stay close by to face off against Mt. Olive (Jan. 15). Mason then heads to Indiana the following weekend to play matches against Purdue Ft. Wayne (Jan. 20) and Ball State (Jan. 21). The Patriots will host North Greenville University (Jan. 29), Queens College (Feb. 19), and Fairleigh Dickinson (Feb. 25).
 
The Patriots will travel out to California for their Spring Break to play matches against University of Southern California (Mar. 9), Pepperdine (Mar. 11), and UC Irvine (Mar. 12). Mason will travel to New Jersey for one final non-conference game against Fairleigh Dickinson (Apr. 8).
 
EIVA PLAY
 
The Green & Gold begin EIVA conference play with away matches at St. Francis University (Feb. 4) and Penn State (Feb. 5). On the following weekend, the Patriots will travel to NJIT (Feb. 11) and St. Francis Brooklyn (Feb. 12).
 
After a three-game homestand, Mason hits the road to play Sacred Heart (Mar. 4-5) and return to the RAC on Mar. 18 to host St. Francis University, Penn State (Mar. 20), NJIT (Mar. 25), and finally St. Francis Brooklyn (Mar. 26). The match against Penn State is set to play inside Eagle Bank Arena.
 
Mason will then travel to West Virginia to battle EIVA foe Charleston (W.Va) (Apr. 1-2). On their trip to New Jersey, the Patriots will visit Princeton (Apr. 9).
 
The Patriots finish up the regular season schedule with two home games against Harvard (April 15-16). The game on the 16^th will be the Senior and Alumni Nights.
 
SENIOR NIGHT
 
The Patriots will host Harvard on Saturday, April 16, at 4 p.m. inside The RAC for Mason's 2022 Senior Night. George Mason Athletics will honor libero Trevor Kennan and outside hitter Richie Hoff before the contest on Saturday.
