FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's soccer team improves to 6-10-1 and 4-4-1 in the A-10 after defeating Rhode Island (5-8-2, 4-4-1 A-10) by a score of 3-2 on Thursday night inside George Mason Stadium. The Patriots are currently in a three way tie for sixth place, hoping to clinch a spot in the Atlantic 10 tournament. The Patriots are currently tied with St. Bonaventure and Rhode Island, but have defeated both opponents during the regular season.
Possession of the ball was split evenly amongst the Patriots and the Rams. Rhode Island tallied two goals on 12 total shots (six on goal). Mason tallied three goals on 16 total shots (eight on goal). Senior
